Native American Alumni of Princeton

We love our zoom meetings with our Native Alumni!

The Native American Alumni of Princeton (NAAP) group supports and fosters discussion among our diverse undergraduate and graduate alumni and current students. We respect and welcome all individuals from Native American, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawai’ian nations. Our goal is to create a forum to honor our achievements, create networks to recruit and support students, and to guide continued Native presence at Princeton.

Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawai’ian, and other Indigenous undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni are welcome to join the NAAP Facebook group.

Princeton American Indian and Indigenous Studies Working Group (PAIISWG)

The Princeton American Indian and Indigenous Studies Working Group (PAIISWG) is organized by Isabel M. Lockhart. PAIISWG aims to be a hub for graduate students and faculty from Princeton and beyond who work on Native American and Indigenous studies topics. The group was founded as the Princeton American Indian Studies Working Group in 2011 by Rebecca M. Rosen and Joshua N. Garrett-Davis.

Please email paiiswg@princeton.edu for general inquiries and/or requests to join the group. Also, please consider subscribing to the Princeton Indigenous Studies listserv.

Princeton Indigenous Advocacy Coalition

PIAC was convened in the fall of 2019 by the Undergraduate Student Government as the Indigeneity at Princeton Task Force to advocate for Indigenous studies and students at Princeton. Since then, it has settled into its more permanent home in the PACE Center for Civic Engagement as PIAC.  It is run by Keely Toledo ’22 (Navajo Nation),  Jessica Lambert ’22 (Choctaw Nation), Gabriel Duguay ’22, and Kate Schassler ’21.
